TLArchitects is a full-service architectural design firm based in San Francisco Bay Area, specializing in new custom homes, whole house transformations and boutique commercial design.
The design, permitting, bidding, and construction process can feel overwhelming. We’re here to simplify the journey, guiding each project from the first idea to the finished home with clarity, care, and results that exceed expectations.
We believe architecture should feel effortless - shaped by light, proportion, and a quiet sense of order. We approach each project as a careful dialogue with our clients, uncovering their true needs and aspirations. Through refined design and technical precision, we create modern, timeless spaces that feel natural to their setting and connected to their community. The studio aims for clear and simple solutions to complex problem by blending expertise and creativity.
Meet the founder
Flora Li
Flora is a licensed Architect in California and Texas with over a decade of experience in architectural design. She graduated with Master of Architecture degree in Sustainable Design from University of Texas at Austin. She has worked professionally in large architecture firms including Stantec and HDR for more than twelve years, bringing a strong commitment to professional excellence.
Flora brings a versatile design expertise spanning K–12 education, healthcare, and residential projects. Before founding her own practice, she collaborated with renowned architect Herzog & de Meuron at HDR on the UCSF Health Helen Diller Hospital, from schematic design through permit submission. Her work also includes public-sector projects such as R&F International Hospital in partnership with UCLA Health, Hays High School and etc. Building on this foundation of thoughtful, complex design, Flora now focuses on creating high-end residential and commercial spaces that combine elegance, functionality, and attention to every detail.
Beyond her professional practice, Flora is a devoted mother of two, a role that gives her meaningful insight into the evolving needs of growing families—perspective she thoughtfully integrates into her design approach. Outside of work, she values time with her family, enjoys traveling, and seeking out new experiences. With a deep appreciation for beauty in all its forms, she is also an accomplished photographer, capturing life’s moments with precision, sensitivity, and artistry.
